STORY SCRIPT:

Athletes and environmentalists have been impressed with the commitment to sustainability of the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Lausanne 2020 in the efforts to minimise its environmental impact, as well as promoting lasting social and economic welfare.

Environmental activist Lizzie Carr has been visiting some of the venues and is enthusiastic about what she has seen. “There have been some really interesting measures that have been put in place for the Youth Olympic Games where you can see that they have thought about sustainability and what that means for sporting events,” she said.
